Having the ability to update your web content in the hands of those who know it best is key. Setting up these or similar systems are a great tool for allowing you to publish up-to-the minute news and information about your organization consistently on your website.
Since TNT Creative works with a lot of non-profits with limited budgets, we work with clients on finding and setting up alternatives to pricey content management systems through free online systems such as Joomla and Wordpress. While we recommend implementing a Joomla CMS, we will work with you on finding the best content management solution to meet your needs.
We recommend setting up a CMS for the following reasons: - Scalability - A CMS is well-suited for a growing organization. Virtually unlimited content can be continously added and the CMS's inherent hierarchal structure keeps the content organized and easy to search and fine.
- Freshness - New functionality can be implemented easily and rapidly so your site stays fresh and current with modern Web 2.0 techniques.
- Rapid Development - Since the CMS provides the website organization infrastructure new websites can be built very quickly. The focus of the work is on the content, not the navigation, layout, etc.
- Easy Maintenance - A CMS allows non-techie's to easily update and add content. Built in permission structures allow multiple people to manage different parts of the site.
